You Are Called To Lead

Dear friends in Jesus Christ,
Today something caught my attention, and it send me off to think a bit deeper, it led me to realize something amazing, which God has shared with me, so I want to share with you all. But before I begin I have a habit of giving thanks to our Lord.
Heavenly eternal father I thank you for showing me the way that I will now show it to the world. All glory and honor is your Lord, all of the angels, saints and all people praise your holy name Hallelujah. Amen
Without further ado, let me start showing you the word that God has shared with me.

A Leader

Yes today I want to talk to you about this word “Leader”

  • Now basically who is a Leader?
Google the word and this is the first thing that will show up is that “the person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country.
To add more to it, I would like to say that “he is the one, who leads his people to victory, he is to be feared, respected, honored, and most of all obeyed.”
  • What are the virtues of a great leader?
Courage, Vision, Intelligence, Oratory skills, Strength, Knowledge and many more.

But then these are all the things that you all basically know, so you might ask me, why I am telling you all these?
It’s because today’s topic of discussion is about the word “Leader”But in a much specific domain,

A Christian Leader

  • Now you may ask me who are these Christian leaders?
Are they the priests whom you see in white robes in churches or biblical prophets or kings, who are they? I tell you they are those people, whom God chooses, from time to time, for his purpose on earth. He can be anyone, you, me we don’t really know, until and unless we see the love, the humility and the power of forgiveness, submission (to our authorities),  boldness (in face of danger) and other powers of the Holy Spirit in them.
  • You next question can be how can they be different from a natural leader?
Well the one and the only thing that differentiates between a natural leader and a Christian leader is obedience, obedience to the father’s will.
He may not have the strength, vision, courage, speaking powers, he may be a very shy person or in his past he might have been corrupt one, or maybe nobody, but then he has something which a natural leader doesn’t have, the power to do the holy will of our heavenly father.
They never plan for the future, nor did they think beyond what father is asking them to do right now, because they know, that when father gives them a mission, He will provide them with the right ammunition too, and that is my friends, not their own power or strength, but the awesome unending power of the Holy Spirit.

Abraham, do you know what these leaders do then?
I mean yes, you must have this question that, if they are so very incompetent, then why should we follow him, we should just listen to God the father. Why use a medium?

And I tell you friends, what you think is absolutely right!
But then ask yourself, did you listen to God today? Are you pure? Didn’t you judge people today? Didn’t you got angry on someone? Or committed any sin that has taken you away from the word of God? Aren’t you blinded by the God’s of this world that you can’t see the life in the Gospel that you hear in every mass you attend?
There you go! Now you see why God sends these leaders?

He sends them to bring you and me into his arms. Not to punish or judge or anything else, because you deserted him, but so that, he can love you. And so that you know I must tell you that like when Jesus of Nazareth was getting baptized, the spirit of the lord came over him and said “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17) the same thing father says to you my friends, when you open your hearts, to the him. When you just for once, say abba father, help me, I on my knees, I have nowhere to go now, you are my hope.

So why does these leaders come?

Scripture says in Luke 1:17 “With the spirit and power of Elijah he will go before him, to turn the hearts of parents to their children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

Now me telling these to you, can make you think that I’m either I’m over-reacting or committing acts of blasphemy, or showing myself up like pharisees, or something else.
But let me remind you, that even Jesus Christ our brother, who was crucified, was our leader, He was entrusted by the father, to take our sins and trample over them, but most importantly he was given the same mission to show father’s light to the people who live in darkness.

And did we not take an oath during our confirmation, that every day of our life, we will try to be more and more like him.

So my friend if you are blaming me for blasphemy, you are blaming Christ, for you do not have any authority over me or anyone else, until and unless it is given to you by my father. So I tell you if you judge me, you will be judged.

Now reaching the climax of today’s message I would like to end by saying

You are called to be a leader!

But do you know that?

Let me show you one very prominent verse now that will open your eyes “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).

Does that mean anything you friend?
God doesn’t want you and me to be powerful leaders who can speak, or who can win by themselves always. He just wants us to be us, and though that us-ness, he wants to show His greatness, His glory to the ends of the earth.

Lastly I must say to you that, in this excitement you can just think yourself as a leader appointed by God, as the verse was open for all, to interpretation and action, but let this verse be the yardstick to help you in your ministry as Jesus said “And now I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. If you have love for one another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples” John 13:35

Amen.
Hallelujah

And if you still think you are not convinced then read these – Acts 27:24, Jeremiah 1:5-10, & Joshua 1:5-8 so that you know that you are not the first to be afraid.
Hallelujah

God Bless you all.
