The Power of Weakness

Everyone has many weaknesses and imperfections like spiritual, physical, emotional and spiritual. But the important thing is what we do with these weaknesses. We try to hide, defend or deny them .This prevents God from using us the way he wants to. God has never been impressed by self-sufficiency or with strength. The Bible says, “We are like clay jars in which the treasure is stored. The real power comes from God and not from us.”  Therefore we should strive and work upon attaining that grace through his power. If god would had only used strong people then his glories could never had been fulfilled. Gideon, Moses, Saul, Abraham and many others in the Bible are examples of weak people becoming strong in God’s power. But how do we receive and exercise this power. It can only be done if we do something that Paul followed: Accept that you are weak, boast on your weakness. Let God work wonders in your life and in the life of others through your weaknesses with his POWER.

As a young catholic we must contemplate on our past, work in our present and make our future better. In different situations and circumstances parents, teachers, peers, relatives and others would have told you that you are weak. It’s time that you become a powerful being and change your identity in the eyes of all by the POWER OF GOD.

“For the kingdom of God is not in Word but in Power” – 1 Corinthians 4:20
